I picked this up on Saturday and I've already played about nine hours. It's going really quickly, but each level so far has been imaginative and fun. The story line is pretty funny; lots of stuff for Nintendo fan-boys as well as a few jabs at their expense.There have been some criticisms--see the Gamedaily One Minute Review below--leveled at SPM, but don't let them stop you from picking up and enjoying the first great Mario game on Wii.
But not in the good way you get from eating ribs, or, since I'm a white guy, drinking a box of wine.
Nope I've got bursitis. I haven't been officially diagnosed, it's more of an self diagnosis based on my symptoms and a little bit of web browsing.
Funny thing is I'm pretty sure it's from playing the Nintendo Wii. I'm a fairly active guy, I go to the gym, I lift weights, but I don't think I've made real "sports" motions with my arm since high school gym class. I'm paying for it now.
The pain isn't constant, but when it hurts, usually from small arm movements such as starting my car, it is excruciating. I'm limiting use of the am and medicating with Ibuprofen. That means I didn't buy WiiPlay last night because I knew I couldn't resist the temptation of playing it.
Every time I log in to Vox via the Opera powered Wii browser the browser locks up and I have to power down the Wii in order for it to work again. Anyone else having this problem?
And while I'm at it I thought I'd post two Wii Wants:

- Maniac Mansion on the Virtual Console.
Sadie called me at work today to let me know that my Mother-in-Law, Patty Jones, was purchasing a Wii for me. She had just stumbled across one while shopping at their local Wal~Mart. I had planned on waiting outside target last Sun with some friends, but instead contracted an alien death-virus that kept me indoors and mostly immobile until Tuesday, so this was great news. When I head home this Sunday for Christmas my Wii will be waiting, and the hunt will be over.
